Halloween

Devin and I went trick or treating in old town sherwood and he was surprisingly good at it. At first he grabbed a handful of candy though he doesn't really know what it is. He dropped it when told to just take one and carefully made his selection. One of the businesses was offering a free photo of your child in costume. We could not get Devin to smile for the camera but as we left the studio we came across this monster costumed young man and Devin smiled huge and offered the monster some candy. Next year, we will replace the cuddly stuffed animal props for a blood curdling mask and see if we can get a better photo shoot. I thought for sure D wouldn't want his Tigger hood on but he seemed to get more upset when it fell down as if he knew the costume was not complete without it. He had fun at US Bank and was very good while mommy deposited checks. He was very certain however that he should hold his candy bag and NOBODY else!

Zoo fun
Kira got a new chair for her birthday and it fits US just perfect!
Petting the Goats at the Oregon Zoo, though the terrain was the most interesting part to me!
Don't I look Devinaire?
I can feed myself pretty good with a spoon these days.....without going hungry!
I tackled Kira and hurt her so I had to give her a hug. I hope she forgives me!
We had an amazing race birthday party for Kira for her 13th. It was lots of fun and all nine girls made it so we had 3 teams of 3. We had great weather and the girls were asking for more when it was over. Afterwards they hung out and spent a good deal of time with Devin and his toys! So while the adults were watching the Beaver game, Devin was figuring out the functions on each girls cell phone and getting more attention than he's probably had in his life!

I just love this picture of Devin and the girls. He looks so sweet and innocent touching his sisters face and sharing those beautiful brown eyes with his east coast cousins
Just thought I'd see if there was something waiting for me in here since the key is here and all...

Helloooooo? Anybody in here?

Staring at the kitty always makes him nervous! ; )
These photos are from a recent trip to Sears. I'm glad I didn't spend much because who knew how hard it would be to get and 18 month old (I know that probably sounds ignorant right?) sit still or even stand near the designated photo area. I will probably stick with my own random shots for awhile or hire someone to capture him in action since there is not a lot of sitting still and smiling on command these days. It might not have helped when the "stranger" photographer tried to pick him up and move him to the right spot. She thought he was done after that but I was determined to get something out of it so I sat him in my lap for half the shots or I was laying on the floor a few feet away from him ducking under the camera!

How do you like my "football stance?"
